Vesko Gösel

Ferdinand Homrich und Sohn Modell ΙΙ, 2010

The sculpture Ferdinand Homrich und Sohn Modell ΙΙ has come a long way. Being used in a darkroom in eastern German in the 80s where Vesko Gösel developed his photographs and dried the films in this dry cabinet, to his studio in Cologne in 2010, where he started to deconstruct his old equipment the first time to create a non functional object. Still it seems to refer to its history and the artist’s own history. Within this exhibition Gösel presents us a third version of his sculpture hanged on 35mm film material.
